I’ve been dealing with humidity in the teens in the Eastern Sierra at 8,000 feet for over a year. I couldn’t sleep, my nose always hurt, my skin cracked and itched, everyone agreed something needed to be done.
My place is about 2,300 sq. ft and the humidity shot to more than 50% in the first 12 hours of operation. This unit is basically perfect regarding the size, cost and ease of installation. A professional should be able to install this unit in less than three hours. I would recommend this unit to my grandmother and probably will.
Since I gave this unit 4 stars instead of 5 my ONLY complaint is that the unit is a little loud. The fan is strong but not silent. I will contact the manufacturer and update this review based on their suggestion. However depending on the location where you install this unit it might not matter. Additionally this fan noise might be consistent with the noise of most other units so take my comments with a grain of salt.
I installed the unit near our main intake vent for our heating system to spread the humidity throughout the house when using the fan or the heating system.

I am glad I bought this unit. I was so tired of daily filling, draining and cleaning my console humidifier, and the crusty white stuff that accumulated on it (not to mention the slime mold that grew in the tank if I didn’t clean it with bleach.) This unit connects to your hot water line and to a drain, so it supplies its own water and continuously cleans itself. There’s no crusty white stuff, you just set the humistat and forget about it. It’s fairly quiet, too.
Though the unit is fairly small (about 13 inches square) and not heavy (15 lbs.) it’s more than adequate to completely humidify our 1600 sq. ft. home.
I don’t know about energy usage or reliability because I just started using it, but so far the performance has been wonderful.

I adopted a rather large female black bear Syrian hamster from the animal shelter. The hamster cage that I had used for previous hamsters that I had in the past wasn’t big enough for her. I knew that I needed a new cage. So, I bought this one right here on Amazon. It’s great, and my hamster loves it! The ramps, as well as the middle and upper levels, are made of solid, sturdy plastic. This makes it safe for pets, since there’s no danger of a hamster getting a foot stuck while running fast up and down the levels. The bottom of the cage is very easy to clean, too. There’s no hassle separating it from the top portion of the cage. Since it’s very unlikely you’ll have a sink that this cage will fit in, you can just wash it in the bathtub. This cage is also so big that’s there’s plenty of room for me to put in several toys and multiple nesting houses. My hamster’s favorite feature is the big, giant exercise wheel. I included her old, more appropriately-sized hamster wheel in the cage (to give her a choice in which wheel she prefers) but she will no longer use it. She’s only in interested in running on the big, giant wheel!
So, if you have a pet hamster, I highly recommend getting this cage. It’ll offer your hamster a lot of space, all the while being very safe and very easy to clean.
Almost Perfect Hamster Home - Mark Twain -
This is the perfect size home for 1 Syrian hamster (they MUST live alone). 99% of the hamster cages available are way too small for a Syrian. But this is the perfect size, and the levels make it more interesting. My only complaint is that the wheel is too big. The wheel is 12″ and takes up too much space. If you’re getting a Syrian hamster, get this cage but take out the giant wheel and put in the 8″ Comfort Wheel or the Wodent Wheel Jr instead.
Also, if you’re getting a hamster or any small animal, please check your local animal shelters to see if they have one who is waiting to be adopted before you buy one from a pet store.
Great Cage for 2 Rats - Casey Levan - Carbondale, IL
I got this cage about 2 weeks ago for my two baby girls. I knew the dimensions of it, but was still surprised at the large size of the cage as I was putting it together. This cage is a great size for 2 females, but if you are going to get 2 males or more than two rats in general, this cage would be too small when they are fully grown.
I didn’t put in the wheel, because many rats are just too smart to use wheels. But I was able to fit in 3 hammocks, another ladder, and a hide box.
My girls are about 5.5 weeks old now, and even when I got them a week ago they weren’t able to fit through the bars. They also don’t even use the ramps half the time, and just climb up the bars to get to the top shelf.
It was a tiny pain putting it together. Took a few minutes to get the clips on the shelves lined up right, but it still only took me about 10 minutes to get the shelves and ramps clipped on, and the bedding in the bottom.
Good cage for what it is - B. Stogsdill -
I originally purchased this cage to house a couple of rats that we had. Later on, we rescued a baby squirrel and he spent some time in the cage. It has worked well for what it is. It is a decent size. It doesn’t keep the mess from getting everywhere, since the animals toss out food on the top floor, but it does provide the animals with a wheel, a food dish that can’t be knocked over, and a couple levels of fun.
It is too small to house a chinchilla or rabbit and too large to house a mouse, so rats, sugargliders, and a couple other animals around that size are all it is good for. Prior to this cage, we had a glass aquarium with a vented top. This provide more room with the same space and more ventilation, but as I said, the mess is a lot more. The rats never took interest in the wheel, which seemed a little small for them anyway.
I give it a 5 star because it is well built, and is what it is. It is a wire cage, and a lot less likely to be chewed through than many of the other cage options. It’s the best type to own, in my opinion. Short of purchasing a breeder or handler’s cage, it is the best you can get at the likes of a petco, so it deserves the 5 star rating.

This item is really a winner. It truly gets at the “root” of the problem. We purchased it mostly to allow my husband who is recovering from a nasty fall which resulted in broken bones, to be able to be more active in the lawn and garden work. It truly made this possible and did a much better job than simply pulling weeds as we used to.

This product does a good job of weeding, if you are careful. I am not sure how long the product will last if you have a lot of weeds, but it seems to serve the basic purpose well. The reason for three stars is the complete lack of a convenient way to store it, and the constant fear that the plastic piece will break off (although its seems to be pretty sturdy and hasn’t been damaged yet)

I bought this based on the highly positive reviews it received. But my experience is just the opposite. My complaints:
1. It leaves HUGE holes in the ground and often pulls up adjacent dirt or lawn also. Then I have to bend over to fill in the holes, taking more time and defeating the purpose.
2. It’s hard to position it directly over the weed, so sometimes I have to go for it twice, creating an even bigger hole.
3. Also, to position it directly over the weed I have to bend over to see clearly, straining my back.
3. By the time I carefully position it, carefully pull it out so I don’t get an even bigger chunk, dispose of the large divot, and push the dirt back in place - I could have picked 6 weeds by hand.
If someone has tips on what I’m doing wrong, I’d love a tutorial. Right now it was a waste of money. (My husband agrees.)
