Women, leave your ego at the entry. Seems like male drivers actually are better than female drivers at steering their cars in a spot, if one is to believe a new analysis coming from Germany.
At front-on, driving backwards and parallel parking, men outdid female drivers by driving their automobiles into the middle of the lot, in accordance to the research which found a reference in the Daily Telegraph.
Findings from the research went on to show that the female subjects took a great deal longer to park properly, whilst also not performing as precisely as their male contemporaries.
I now need to put on the market my 2000 Volvo S70 T5M (priced at almost $6K) given that our home now requires a bigger car (2 adults, 1 child and twins expected soon).
I have to state that I have been happy with the car, I'm not a speed demon and the vehicle manages to touch 120 kph but that's ok; I am, genuinely, merely selling because its size is extremely little for our current way of going about things.
I'm wide open to cars which bear these points into consideration:
a) bigger
b) comparable minimal emission
c) satisfactory on short drives (because that's what we primarily do)
d) decent on mileage

What's crucial is that the vehicle must be a product of a rather dependable manufacturer, and that the spare parts should be easy to source and not very costly, etc.
When you come right down to it, if the car that I speak of has served you effectively but you just have to change it with a car which gives you more room, then what would you pick? I am partial to the exterior of the Nissan Pathfinder. However I think it will be hard to get one in that budget. All wheel drives can be practical for our home as we stay in the Chisos Mountains and a small number of off road tracks exist, but it's not compulsory for the car to be a 4×4.
While I hold on for the sale I guess I will only sustain propelling a rented motorcar
Thank you for any recommendations.
My father just turned in his Toyota 4Runner and is on the lookout to lease another car. He already articulated that this drive was a little taxing on his posterior and that it had way too much engine capacity for this part of the world… So he's on the lookout for a 4 cylinder or a small 6, and it must be SUV in view of the fact that he does surfing, etc… + this is the solitary large car in the household, I used his car numerous times to shift possessions all over since I own a Toyota Prius and my partner a Beetle.

Nonetheless, the price range; it's without doubt less than US $28k after taxes & fees.
He did like the GMC Acadia, but it's way too inefficient when it comes to power, the Turbo version has superb engine capacity and handles well, but for that much he feels he could do better.
He chanced upon a good deal at turbocharged 4-cylinder engine 200-hp 2.0-liter Volkswagen Passat … but he is concerned with reliability in view of the fact that our Audi A6 and VW Cabrio were constantly breaking down. I suggested that with a 24-month charter he shouldn't face any tribulations (in contrast to owning the Audi like he had for over 4 years).
We also though about the latest Subaru Outback, a pretty darn enjoyable car, one could smell superiority all over when you sit down inside… My father even said that he might have purchased the SUV before now if not for the overly irritating salesman… I think inculing taxes it reaches $30k or so, but he does seem to enjoy the vehicle a lot.
I don't think he likes the Honda CR-V, I'll ask him if he wants to examine it out, its price seems within reach.
If you are aware of any good drives that he can explore while not having to squander an exorbitant amount of money, your suggestions would be most welcome.
